The International Museum Day will also take place in South Tyrol on Sunday, May 19, 2024. The aim of International Museum Day is to draw attention to the thematic diversity of museums worldwide. With their diverse offerings and innovative ideas, museums make a great contribution to our cultural and social life. The event is organized annually by the International Council of Museums ICOM worldwide. The motto proclaimed by Icom - International Council of Museums for the 2024 edition is: "Museums, education and research".
The Lumen Museum at the top of Kronplatz also cordially invite visitors to discover and visit their rarities.

In the Lumen Museum 4 floors are dedicated to the photography of the mountains. The museum makes it possible to experience the history of mountain photography from its beginnings to the present day and the art of mountain photographers from all over the world. Lumen shows historical photographs and digital innovations, exciting temporary and special exhibitions as well as spectacular stagings.
