Solar eclipse at 2,275 metres

As the moon passes in front of the sun, briefly changing the daylight, a fascinating natural spectacle unfolds. On 12 August, you have the opportunity to experience the partial solar eclipse (approx. at 8.30 pm) from one of South Tyrol's most spectacular viewpoints – the summit of Kronplatz at 2,275 metres above sea level.

Enjoy this unique experience surrounded by breathtaking 360° panoramic views, combining the celestial event with culture, local gastronomy and unforgettable mountain scenery.

In addition to the solar eclipse, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a memorable day in the mountains. Both museums will be open, inviting you to embark on a fascinating journey of discovery. The mountain huts will also be open, serving regional specialities and providing the perfect place to experience this extraordinary natural phenomenon in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Kronplatz 2000 cable car takes you comfortably from Reischach directly to the summit. From there, you'll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding Dolomite peaks – the perfect setting to experience the solar eclipse up close.
